TapMac

Terms of Service

Plain language, because it’s a $4.99 app, not a merger.

Last updated: 16 September 2026

What you bought

One payment of $4.99 buys a personal license to use TapMac on up to three Macs you own or use yourself. The license key is delivered by email and on the post-checkout page, and it does not expire. Updates to version 1.x are included at no extra cost.

What you may not do

Don’t redistribute the app or your license key, sell either of them, or publish the key where others can use it. A key that shows abnormal activation activity can be revoked; if that ever happens to you in error, contact me and I will fix it.

Requirements

TapMac needs an Apple silicon MacBook running macOS 14 or later — the tap detection reads the accelerometer that only those machines have. It does not run on desktop Macs or Intel MacBooks. Some optional actions ask macOS for permissions (Accessibility, Screen Recording, Automation); granting them is your choice and the app works without them.

Refunds

If TapMac doesn’t work on your machine, contact me within 14 days of purchase and you get a full refund, no questions asked. Refunds are processed through Polar, the merchant of record for all purchases.

No warranty

TapMac is provided as is. I work on it with care and ship fixes quickly, but I can’t promise it is free of defects or that a tap will never be missed or misread. To the maximum extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use; my total liability is capped at what you paid for the license.

Changes

If these terms change, the date above changes and the new terms apply from that day forward. Nothing will change retroactively about a purchase you already made.
